Anyways the movie is very dark and I am very unsure what the point of it is. It is evident that they treat women like dirt in the film. We see this with the twins. One of their husband's is always yelling at them and telling her that she cannot tell him what to do. This is upsetting but what many women go through. In my opinion men act this way because they see it in the media in cases like this movie showing it. Therefore, men feel it is okay to take part in.
The media controls us. It is all around us... we are forced to see it, hear it, and be part of it. Our society will never be the same since the media is always forcing us to change our views... it is quite sad.

Keep note of anything about the film that confuses you or that you want to discuss in class--it certainly is thought-provoking. I find what you said about Daisy and Violet (the conjoined twins) interesting, since it illustrates how times have changes. The interactions between them and their beaus are actually intended to be comical--since they play on the idea that they are always connected, especially when the two husbands invite one another over. Daisy always has to go where Violet goes, and Roscoe can do nothing about it--his frustrations are the comical result of this unconventional situation and ultimately emasculate him (but I agree with you--in this day, we are much more sensitive to such treatment of women and children. We've come a long way :) ).
